Wynton 2+1

The Wynton 2+1 is a two-cabinet, hybrid active 3-way loudspeaker system consisting of the 2-way Wynton oriented horizontally and combined with a separately powered bass module (containing a custom 8” Volt woofer). Adding a passive “bass-extender” to a mini-monitor is not a new idea (e.g., Rogers AB-1 for LS3/5a), but our implementation uses an external active crossover and a separate power amplifier for the woofer. The result: the Wynton plus the bass module becomes a true (bi-amplified) 3-way loudspeaker system.
