Branford

The Branford is the big brother of the Wynton, intended as our “Goldilocks” 2-way stand-mount (not too big, not too small, just right for many situations). Compared with the Wynton, the Branford uses a larger 6” woofer and has a rear mounted 8” auxiliary bass radiator (ABR) to provide impressive bass from a compact stand-mount. The loudspeaker “tuning” and ABR respond well to equalization for those who like a bit more bass punch. And while the Branford shares the same driver geometry as the Wynton, it performs best in a vertical orientation.

The Branford, as the Wynton, uses exceptional quality drivers: a Satori mid-woofer and a Bliesma tweeter. The sophisticated cabinets are made in the UK of double thickness Valchromat (front/rear baffles), and either Valchromat or walnut-veneered HDF cabinet wrap, a damped vertical brace, and constrained-layer cabinet liners (see Ethos).
